It’s a sweet day in the blogahood! The New Granola Bar Devotionals has opened up again. – Lots of clapping, jumping up and down, maybe even some Happy Dance moves, which embarrasses my sons so much their faces turn red! Definitely Hoot and Woot worthy!
It’s like an old friend has come back from a long trip, thrown open the windows, aired out the linen, dusted, made pink lemonade and scones. with Alisa Hope Wagner as the Ministry Coordinator and Kerry Johnson as Chief-Editor. Kerry blogs daily at A Lamp, a Light and A Writer while Alisa’s home base is Faith Imagined.
I met Alisa and her twin-sister Christina in 2009 when they encouraged me to submit a story, “The Blue Cotton Blanket” to their on-line magazine, “Sanctified Together”. I was new to blogging, new to relationship-building in this neighborhood of beautiful friendship potential. They gave this newbie blogger such sweet encouragement. I felt like the new kid at school invited by the sweetest girls to sit at their lunch table. Their kindness built my confidence. Their generosity of spirit opened an entire new world for me, a place where I felt at home, where I could soar.
I met Kerry (well, not in the real world yet) through Sanctified Together – one contributing writer to another. She has two boys and a devotional , Grace for the Gaps. I am so excited to see her in leadership on The New Granola Bar Devotionals.
Both of these women are beautiful examples of lifting up, mentoring, cheer-leading, encouraging! Won’t you stop by, be blessed, maybe submit an article. I’m over there with mine, “Simply Uncool to Be Me.”
Oh, my gosh! I wrote for them as well. We never connected there. Thanks for this, sweetie!
I met you through Sanctified Together:) I am so glad I did!
I haven’t heard of the New Granola Bar Devotionals. Thanks for sharing about it so we can check it out too. Don’t you just love the encouragement that goes around the blogosphere?
Lisa – it’s opened my eyes to what really being in the family of God really is like – all these sisters and spiritual mothers – cheerleading, encouraging, heart-sharing, praying – it is a beautiful experience! So glad I’ve met you and your sweet encouragement – in your posts and in connecting!
