Unconditional Love Waits. Instead of rushing ahead, stopping and looking back, thinking, “Why are you not here?” Unconditional love waits. Unconditional Love swallows the impatience when arrival is not on our schedule – and says, “Oh, you are on God’s schedule.”
Unconditional Love plants the seeds – seeds for work ethic, for scholatic excellence, for compassion, tidiness, for independence, daily teeth-brushing, for love, meeting assignment, for personal responsibility, financial skill, for selflessness, for matching socks, for salvation – and then. . .
Unconditional Love waits for what is inside to unfurl
Waits with faith which tells me to have peace, which tells me that
while I am waiting,
wait with a bit of joy
wait For God’s Movement
wait for God’s laborers to water the planted seeds
wait for Growth,
like a plant protector for growth is my faith
for those seed roots to burrow deeply,
and wind around heart, mind and soul
Waiting in faith
for grow, growing, growth
until growth turns into blooming
and in blooming plants the seeds God gave them.
I need to slow down, meet them where they are, be close enough to hold hands but not
and understand that mothering is having faith during the waiting
“Love is never tired of waiting . . . . Love has the power of undergoing all things, having faith in all things, hoping all things ” (1 Cor 13: 4-7
