My Snow Day came before I could even finish my Snow Day List! It came pretty big, too. We had to wait for the roads to clear Saturday in the late afternoon so we could car pile to the country, traipse over fields to pick out a lovely, delightful, oh-so-Christmas tree.  Ours came decorated this year.

I love snow – but prefer it after Christmas because by then I am so ready for a Holiday from The Holiday. Snow Day is synonymous with sleeping in, my boys all wrapped up in quilts (kind of gift-like), bright red cheeks, hot chocolate and chicken noodle soup. Life just kind of stops to let life happen.

I like it when God hollers, “Freeze” – the snows come and life stands still for a few days – and we have time to find that Joy in each other.
